The County is extremely well served by a full range of shopping and retail services and many of the larger towns such as Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds are vibrant centres for entertainment and the arts. Visitors wishing to pursue a range of sporting activities are also well catered for at the many recreation and leisure centres that can be found throughout the County.

Local District Councils' Tourist Information Centres provide a booking service and a full list of accredited accommodation available. Accommodation providers have a choice of who to be inspected by. This can either be Visit Britain, AA or RAC, all of these bodies inspect properties to the same guidelines. The inspection ratings give customers confidence in choosing the right accommodation to suit their needs and the knowledge that an independent assessor has visited the property.
