Sailors’ Path
Introduction
The Sailors' Path follows a beautiful route walked by sailors for hundreds of years between Snape Maltings and Aldeburgh in the east of the county. Along its route the path takes in views over reed beds and the River Alde. It also crosses Snape Marshes which are a vital wildlife habitat and home to otter and many kinds of birds, insects and plants. Listen out for nightjars, woodlark and yellowhammers as the path goes through Snape Warren Nature Reserve, then enjoy a spot of shopping and some of the famous fish and chips you can find in the quaint seaside town of Aldeburgh.
